Nikon D90
By DaBloggerThis is the Nikon D90 DX 12.3MP Digital Camera. Let’s face it – Professional photographers require a level of customization, performance, and ruggedness that’s at least a notch above what most consumer dSLRs provide. Digital cameras are rated for more than merely their potential picture quality, in the end. The D90 has been the most purchased “entry level” professional camera for a while now – and with reason. Of course its price is below $1,000 which always attracts the more scrupulous raters as well as aspirants, but its overall flexibility has become something of a standard. While its movie quality can be somewhat challenged, the pictures resulting form its 12.3 MegaPixel capacity and its excellent Zoom function make this as attractive as ever.
In the rapidly-changing professional and “sub-professional, entry-level” market, the Nikon D90 still has a lot to offer anyone interested in improving their picture-taking abilities. Its most attractive features still intact, easy to operate as a rule and full of tweaking possibilities, this is still a fabulous camera.

I shoot three cameras these days. My iPhone, a Sony point-and-shoot, and the Nikon D90.
I love this camera. The level of control you can exert with this piece of equipment is phenomenal… or you can let the camera make most of the decisions while you click away. Things I like best are:
- Burst mode with over four frames per second.
- Great sensitivity for low light conditions.
- Fast auto focus.
Images that make me look like I know what I’m doing… that’s priceless.
